Chetan was born and spent her childhood in village called Vartej which is 180 km from Rajkot, Bhavangar, Gujarat, India. His zodiac sign is pisces. He wanted to become a cricketer since early age but due to his family’s financial condition his parents wanted him to study and get the good job. His parents thinks that cricket is game of rich people. But Chetan focused and only want to be a cricketer. He was very good at study also. His maternal uncle Mansukh bhai was helped a lot to him in paying tution fee and also allow him to play cricket. Chetan used to work in his stationary shop in Bhavanagr. He almost worked for 2 years there bu after that he want to focus on cricket only. He did his primary schooling from Vidya Vihar High School. At initial stage of his career he doesn’t have pair of shoes to play but his senior played named Sheldon Jackson bought him a pair of shoe and also help him in his training. Sakariya also get the chance to go get trained in MRF Pace Foundation where hi learned a lot of thing s from Australian fast bowler Glenn McGrath. Sakariya and Jackson became very close friends then. He faced many struggles in his entire career so far.

Career
Sakariya used to play for various team at local and also a part of team of his school. When he was playing for his school in district level tournament he got the attention from Rajendra Gohil who is coach at Sir Bhavsinhji Cricket Academy. He offered training to sakariya and after that he started to sharpen his skills under Gohil sir’s guidance.
Sakariya made his official debut in List A matches for the team of Saurashtra against Baroda on 22 Feb, 2018 in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017-18. In the same year on 20 November he made his first class cricket debut for the Saurashtra against Gujarat in Ranji trophy season of 2018-19. In very next year on 21 Feb 2019 he debuted in T20 cricket for Saurashtra in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy season 2018-19.
Ahead of IPL 2021 Sakariya was bought by the Rajasthan Royals for the upcoming season. He has the base price of 2 lakhs but he was signed for 1.2 Crore INR. Before that in previous season of IPL in 2020 he was the net bowler for RCB.

But after Chetan started playing Ranji Trophy he insisted his father to quit his driving job. Recently in May 2021 his father Kanjibhai died due to corona. His mother name is Varshaben Sakariya and she is housewife. Chetan has a one younger sister Jignasha who is currently in school. He had a one younger brother named Rahul. At the time when Sakariya was busy in playing Syed Mushtaq Ali tournament Rahul committed suicide due to some unknown reason. Bus as Chetan was playing tournament his family didn’t inform him about this incident. When He know all that things he didn’t spoke with his family for almost a week. In recent IPL his team Rajasthan Royals gifted him a RR jersy with name R.K printed on it and also has word written on it “Miss you bro”.
