After she graduated from university, she started working in the private company as an accountant. Then, she completed her MBA in distance education while she was employed. She initially had great interest in being a television anchor, but at a certain point she began to focus on acting instead. So she started to gave audition to many Malayalam directors and film producers unfortunately when she got date for one final audition but because of exams she is unable to gave it. Afterwards, Aparna did many modeling shows and commercial advertisement videos for a number of local brands while waiting for the right call to act. Her first debut movie, “Nijan Prakashan” in the year 2018, was along with one of the actors she admired the most, Fahadh Faasil, the son of legendary director Sathyan Anthikad. The next year, she starred in another Malayalam film” Manoharam” directed by Antony Sony. She played a character named Sreeja in this movie, who taught advanced computer applications to students.
Aparna Das will also be playing an important role in the most awaited Tamil film “Thalapathy 65 – Beast”, which also stars south Indian superstar Josep Vijay. Beast is directed by popular director Nelson Dilipkumar. Her next film is called “Priyan Ottathilanu” set for release in 2022 in Malayalam where She plays a leading role opposite Nyla Usha and opposite Sharafudheen.
