Mahima began taking part in acting auditions when he was 10 years old. In starting period she appeared in a few commercials as well. As a child artist, she appeared on CID, Aahat, Miley Jab Hum Tum, and Jhansi Ki Rani on Colors TV. In 2009, she appeared in the Colors TV show Balika Vadhu as Gudiya. She made her television debut in Zee TV’s blockbuster TV series “Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke”. In one interview she said that she gave more than 500 auditions before appearing in “Sapne Suhane Ladakpan Ke”. After that she appeared in “Dil Ki Baatein Dil Hi Jaane” in the role of Ram Kapoor and Gurdeep Kohli daughter. After that she worked in “Adhuri Kahaani Hamari”.
As part of the Star Plus show Rishton Ka Chakravyuh, Makwana played the lead Anami Baldev Singh. She replaced Deshna Dugad as the female lead in “Mariam Khan – Reporting Live” on Star Plus in October 2018.She also appeared on Colors TV’s “Shubharambh” as Rani Dave Reshmaiya between December 2019 and November 2020. She made her film debut in 2017 when she appeared in a Telugu film “Venkatapuram”, She debuted in a digital series in 2019 with Rangbaaz Season 2 as Chiku. In next year she worked in web series Flesh as Zoya. Mahima will play the female lead opposite Aayush Sharma and Salman Khan in the film “Antim: The Final Truth” in December 2020.
